Veronica Cavallieri, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015, with her family by her side after a long battle with breast cancer.
Born July 25, 1942, she was raised in Pittsburg, migrated to Monterey, before settling in Antioch. She worked for the Pittsburg Unified School District for several years and managed Hotels with her late husband until retiring in 2006. She was active with Pittsburg Pony Baseball. She was an avid baker and loved spending time with her children, (9) grandchildren and (7) great-grandchildren.
Veronica is survived by her children: Steve (Margie) Gutridge, Gino (Carmelita) Gutridge, Danny (Taj) Gutridge, and Maria Orozco (Catalino Jr.). She is also survived by her sister Virginia Balesteri. She was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Cavallieri and parents Joseph and Connie Martinez.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 10, 2015 at 12:30pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Oakview Memorial Park in Antioch.
