Vincent "Bingo" Aiello, age 89, died on November 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by the love of his life, Geraldine, of 62 years; children; Ratzi (Mindy), Justine Rossini (Johnny), and Jack (Myrna); 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces, and sister; Angie Sorci. He is preceded in death by his parents Oratzio and Olga Aiello, siblings; Neno, Angelina, Erasimo, Ratzi, and Jack.
Bingo was born on July 20, 1927 in Pittsburg. He attended high schools in Monterey and Pittsburg. He began his Commercial Fishing career in 1942 in Pittsburg, San Francisco, Washington, and Alaska; totaling 61 devoted years! He was a Navy Veteran during WWII. He was also a Carpenter for Local 152 for 32 years in the off season of fishing. He was a part of the Italian-American and Elks Club. He also enjoyed playing Bocce in Pittsburg and horse racing! Bingo was a great family man and loving father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of the East Bay.
