William (Bill) L. Knight passed away on Saturday afternoon peacefully at home with his beloved wife Candy at his side.

Bill was born in San Francisco, CA, he was number 3 of 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He went to Alhambra High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1970. After serving in the U.S. Army for 9 years and 9 months, Bill returned to Martinez. He soon met the love of his life, Candy. During these early days with Candy, Bill began his 8-year civilian career with Concord Naval Weapons Station. He continued working with boats as a Yacht Detailer and loved every minute of the work through 2009.

Bill and Candy married in 1981 after a 2-year engagement, raising her children as their own. Bill was a quiet man who loved his family, loved to fish, make people laugh, cook for anyone who wanted to eat, help any neighbor with anything they needed, loved to work, stay home, and loved the Lord.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Candy, and his children Michael, Monica, and Joshua (Tabitha), 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jimmy Knight (Yovonda), sister-in-law Sherry Knight, and many, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Bill's beautiful, generous, funny, loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to a grave side service on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620.
